Tradition, experience and the future come from knowing how to choose the right materials, turn them into reliable solutions and make value out of them over time. This is how we build our products, carrying on a history of expertise, passion and continuity.
Our Story
BEMA traces its roots back to 1949, when Mr. and Mrs. Bertero founded a small brush-making workshop in Alpignano.
Those were hard years and the small family business, with great sacrifices, managed to move forward in a complex economic reality. We are in the seventies when the company, already in the hands of the 2 sons, moves to the new shed; larger spaces and growing turnover thanks also to the economic boom, allowed to make investments that proved to be successful, such as the purchase of more and more advanced machinery that allowed to expand the production range and make Bertero company a leader in Italy in the production of brushes.
In 1994 there is a split between the two brothers. Bertero Pietro, together with his daughter Emanuela, continued the family tradition and opened a new company in Villar Dora, BEMA di Bertero Emanuela.
A few years later, this is the late 1990s, Emanuela's husband, Giuseppe Greco, joined the team and together they transformed the company into BEMA ITALY s.a.s.
In 2005, the move to what is the current plant, at 12 Molino Street in Villar Dora.
